Person Centred Therapy
I use person centred counselling
as my core therapy. This means I will listen to you with compassion and without any judgement.
I believe that my way of working will help you explore the difficulties you are experiencing. I aim to help you find a place of peace and safety.
I use Gestalt techniques including creative interventions where appropriate. This involves looking at past relationships, behaviour patterns and experiences from your past which may have impacted you.
CBT and DBT
I have had training and professional experience in using the therapeutic tools of
CBT and DBT.
I believe you are unique and I will blend in these skills if I think it is the best fit for you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. This is my governing body which means I am able to keep up to date with the latest information and developments in counselling and psychotherapy. I adhere to their strict ethical which ensure I keep my clients safe as well as I give them the best possible service. I regularly attend training courses and read books and articles on areas of psychotherapy to keep on trend with my Professional Development. I receive regular supervision, hold professional indemnity insurance as well as an enhance DBS Certificate.
